This week we spotlight one of @EAHP’s member.
African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association (AWCAA), a 501 c (3) nonprofit was founded in 2004 to reduce the rates of preventable breast cancer mortalities, particularly among African immigrant communities. The mission of @AWCAA is to develop partnerships that reduce disparities in awareness, prevention and treatment of breast cancer among African immigrant women, especially the medically underserved. They do this through education, capacity building, awareness outreaches, and personalized navigation for screening, diagnosis and treatment.
AWCAA currently operates from their Maryland, USA and Abuja, Nigeria offices.
