The World Outreach Initiative’s

The World Outreach Initiative’s (WOI) mission is to reach the unreached with the good news of Christ and development assistance activities. It is a non-profit Christian organization founded in 1999 by the late Samuel NIMUBONA who wanted to make a contribution to the reconstruction of the Burundian social fabric scarred by the civil wars.

Through its various programs, WOI has worked in partnership with the Burundian Government, and various national and international donors with key focus on two thematic areas mainly; 1) Communication, peace and reconciliation and 2.) Health and community development.

Under the health arm, WOI has two clinics that provide daily medical care and develops community health programs such as HIV prevention & care and Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH). To reach the community WOI broadcasts health messages through its radio station popularly known as Radio IVYIZIGIRO and through community mobilizers with care group modal.
